☁️Productivity & Modern Workplace

5 Benefits of Version History in SharePoint. Version History in SharePoint is a vital feature for document management. It lets you view, compare, and restore previous versions of documents or pages. You can also track metadata changes in libraries and lists, providing a clear history of updates or approvals.

From Idea to Impact with Copilot, OneNote, and PowerPoint. With tools like Microsoft Copilot, OneNote, and PowerPoint, you can balance speed and strategy to produce authentic, polished content. AI enhances creativity and organization while keeping your ideas focused on your goals.

☁️Copilot & AI

Autonomous agents – Technique 2: Define explicit steps in agent instructions when “reasoning the process” isn’t appropriate. AI agents excel at dynamic reasoning and planning, but their success hinges on precise instructions. Relying solely on end goals often leads to unpredictable outcomes. Breaking tasks into explicit, sequenced steps improves reliability.

Copilot’s Temporary Chat. Microsoft 365 Copilot now supports temporary chats, allowing you to engage in sessions without saving the conversation history. Ideal for brainstorming or confidential queries, these chats won’t appear in your chat thread but can still be audited by administrators. While temporary chats ensure privacy, any saved outputs may still influence future Copilot responses. Use this feature for ephemeral, non-recorded interactions.

How to Control Agent Sprawl in Microsoft 365. AI agents like those in Microsoft 365 can enhance productivity but also create challenges, such as agent sprawl. This happens when decentralized deployment leads to fragmented governance, increasing risks in security, compliance, and costs. To manage it, adopt practices like naming conventions, lifecycle policies, and regular reviews. Tools like Rencore Governance offer automated solutions for visibility and control.

☁️Sysadmin Stuff

Free tool to manage directory settings in Entra ID. Managing Directory Setting Templates and settings in Entra ID/Microsoft 365 can be cumbersome, but a new PowerShell script simplifies the process. It provides a user-friendly Windows Forms-based interface to view, add, update, or remove settings without dealing with GUIDs or JSON files. It supports tenant-wide and group-specific configurations, validates input, and handles permissions for smooth operation.

Increase SharePoint Online Storage | With & Without Admin | PowerShell & UI Method (2025). To manage SharePoint storage, you can view usage with or without admin credentials. Site administrators can access storage metrics via the settings menu, while admins have additional options in Microsoft 365 admin center and PowerShell. Increasing storage involves either manually adjusting site limits or purchasing additional space.  VIDEO

☁️Security & Data Governance

New Microsoft Teams Chat with Anyone Feature Raises Security Concerns. Microsoft Teams introduces the “Chat with Anyone” feature, allowing users to connect via email with external contacts. While convenient for collaboration, it raises security concerns like phishing risks, data exposure, and malware threats. You can disable the feature or implement safeguards such as restricting external domains, reviewing guest settings, monitoring activity, and educating users.

Guest Accounts in Microsoft 365 – A Hidden Security Risk. Managing guest access in Microsoft 365 is crucial for security and compliance. You can protect your tenant by requiring MFA for guests, restricting admin area access, controlling who can invite guests, limiting guest session persistence, and automating access reviews. Fine-tune SharePoint and OneDrive settings to prevent excessive permissions.  VIDEO

☁️Noteworthy (long)reads

Content Strategy: The Sales-Enablement Content System. Effective sales-enablement content is a dynamic system, not just a collection of assets. By aligning content with the buyer’s journey, tailoring it to stakeholder roles, standardizing materials, and integrating feedback through tools like CRM, you can create relevant, up-to-date resources that shorten sales cycles, enhance team confidence, and drive better deal outcomes.
