The corporation I work for uses one of the solutions to raise security awareness. All this SaaS does is send increasingly clever phishing emails, waiting for me to make a mistake and click somewhere I shouldn’t.

According to some statistics, 91% of all cyber-attacks start with a phishing email. These attacks are becoming more and more cunning.

In fact, no language in the world is safe anymore, because machine translation has become so efficient that it is often difficult to recognise text written by a native speaker, someone who disregards the rules of grammar or simply a machine.

Secure Cloud Business Applications (SCuBA) Project. SCuBA is all about helping organizations, especially federal agencies, to secure their cloud environments and protect their information. CISA, the agency behind this project, released a bunch of guidelines and reference documents to make sure everything is up to date with cybersecurity standards. They got these baselines for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace to help agencies figure out the best security settings. Plus, they’re even working on more guidance for other products that’ll be released soon.

Active Directory Remains the Achilles Heel for Many. Even though Active Directory has been around for almost 25 years, it still remains a weak point in many organizations’ cybersecurity defenses. There are a bunch of common issues, like insecure defaults, technical debt, and having too many domain admins. Plus, there’s a growing skill gap with the rise of cloud technology, making it harder to manage and secure Active Directory effectively. Monitoring is also a big challenge, so using additional tools like Microsoft Defender for Identity and event logs could help a lot.

July 18-19, 2023Microsoft Inspire 2023

August 31, 2023 – Microsoft will retire Kaizala. After the retirement date, access to and support for Kaizala will be discontinued. 

October 10, 2023 – Office 2016 and Office 2019 will no longer be supported when connecting to Microsoft 365. While these versions may still be able to connect to Microsoft 365, their connections will not be supported and may experience performance or reliability issues in the future. Official documentation here.
