☁️What’s on my mind

Around the turn of the millennium, I was in the habit of trying out quite a lot of different shareware programs. Some were useful, and others were completely useless, but I installed, tested, and uninstalled them with the greatest of pleasure.

Thank God this obsession soon passed, because it didn’t make much sense. The story repeated itself when I bought my first smartphone. The vast universe of phone apps, all accessible with just one click.

And it is happening again today – this time inside the M365 cloud. Loop app, the new version of Teams, and new connectors for 3rd party services. There is no end in sight.

I’m doomed.

Have a really nice rest of the week,
Matic Z.

SPF, DKIM, and DMARC are three email authentication protocols that help to prevent email fraud and phishing attacks.

SPF (Sender Policy Framework) verifies that the sender of an email is authorized to use the domain name in the message’s “From” field.

DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) uses digital signatures to verify that an email message was sent by the owner of the domain name in the “From” field and that the message was not altered in transit.

DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance) is a policy framework that allows domain owners to specify how SPF and DKIM should be used to authenticate their email messages.

The implementation of SPF, DKIM, and DMARC helps to increase email deliverability, improves email reputation, and reduces the risk of emails being marked as spam or rejected by email servers.

Great series of articles, covering these 3 mechanisms is available here: Security setup SPF | Security setup DKIM | Security setup DMARC.
