☁️What’s on my mind

Have we gotten used to the fact that something is always brewing in the SaaS world?

The Microsoft 365 world is constantly changing, and being updated. Microsoft is launching new services, discontinuing old ones, and so on.

For many users, having an app that won’t change for at least a few years has been a kind of anchor in their working day. The sight of familiar buttons that were still all in the same place meant security.

Others, however, always like to try out new things. The sight of static buttons that haven’t moved for a while, or a service that hasn’t changed for months, makes them worry that something is wrong, that the world isn’t spinning in the right direction.

Where do you fit in? I am among the latter.

Have a really great day.
Matic Z.

What would I do without Google Maps? I’d be a lot more lost. This service has become indispensable to me. But I would also be much more lost in the universe of Microsoft 365 services if I didn’t have a similar map.

M365 maps is an indispensable tool for all those of us who browse for information about what is and isn’t included in each service. I am particularly fond of the links to official Microsoft resources.

☁️Security & Data Governance

What We Can Learn from the Rackspace Breach. The recent breach of the Rackspace hosted Exchange environment serves as a reminder of the importance of cyber security and the devastating consequences that can follow when proper security measures are not taken. To learn from this incident, we must look at the mistakes made and understand the importance of having a strong security posture and appropriate measures in place.

All About Microsoft Purview Sensitivity Labels. Microsoft released sensitivity labels for Office 365 in September 2018 to replace Azure Information Protection (AIP) labels. Since then, they have steadily pushed out new features and capabilities, including support for Microsoft 365 enterprise desktop apps, their online equivalents, and the paid-for version of Adobe Acrobat. It is also possible to use sensitivity labels for both protection and container management, but for easier management, it is better to create separate sets of labels for the two functions.

Exchange Online Tenant Allow and Block List Management. Are you aware of the Tenant Allow/Block list in Microsoft 365 that allows you to override the filtering verdicts, thereby ensuring that your emails hit the inbox without any hiccups? Microsoft’s Exchange Online Protection (EOP) and the Tenant Allow/Block list can help keep your organization safe.

Use Strong MFA Methods to Defend Microsoft 365 Users From SIM Swapping Attacks. SIM swapping attacks are on the rise, with hackers using social engineering techniques, data collection from the dark web, and phishing techniques to collect personal data and impersonate victims in order to gain access to their SIM cards.
