☁️What’s on my mind

Twice in the past week, I have wondered how poorly we make use of the technology available to us.

I first checked on the waste collection center’s website to see if it was even working. Sure enough, it is open from 8 am to 4 pm on a Saturday.

I put my rubbish in the car and take it to the collection center. But, damn it, the center is closed. How? It says on their website that they are open.

I go and check the front page of their site. Yes, it clearly says that the collection center is not open on that particular Saturday. Is it really so difficult to make sure that the changed timetable is displayed in all the relevant places?

What good is all this knowledge, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and all other buzzwords if we fail at such basic tasks?

Have a really great day.
