☁️What’s on my mind

A colleague of mine presented me with an interesting riddle. How to get a user to be able to access e-mail only from Outlook and from the phone, but not to be able to log in to office.com or anywhere else.

First, the user must be denied all the rights to use the services that he would otherwise get with a Microsoft 365 license. This is easy to do from the admin console. Practically everything must be switched off, except Exchange online. Then it is necessary to specify which applications are allowed to access e-mail, so we will only allow MAPI and ActiveSync access. And the job is done.

Okay, in this case, the user still can log in to office.com, but there’s nothing he can actually do there.

Have a really great day.
