[m365weekly] #31

☁️What’s on my mind

I had an interesting case this week. Some nasty folks decided to hijack someone’s email address to try to do a phishing attack. Microsoft 365 account was not compromised. All they could do was spoof an email address. And it’s funny that in 2021 virtually nothing can be done to prevent spoofing email addresses. Of course, you can protect the ones that are using adequate spam filtering by implementing SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. I would recommend you implement all three as well.

And while you’re doing that take a look at your security score in the Security admin console. It should be as high as possible. If you’re below 20% you have a problem.

Have a nice week.
